Bio

The first fruits of this alliance were the singles ‘Wait For The Weekend’ and ‘Turning All The Lights Down’, both of which, following encouraging support from XFM and Huw Stephens at Radio 1 stormed into the UK Indie Charts top 10.
Such was the interest in the band that ‘Riot In The City’, the b-side to their debut single, was picked up and featured on the multi-million selling Rockstar video game, Grand Theft Auto IV.

It was the release of their debut album in 2009 that saw WLP* tour the UK, both as headliners and support to; Kasabian, The Subways, Twin Atlantic, Ash, Fightstar and The Twang etc. The album was also released in Japan and saw the band reach greater success in this territory than any other.

More recently WLP* track 'Young Believers' is currently the soundtrack to the British Premier League and Baseball on ESPN America, which is rapidly building a buzz and momentum for the band in the USA.

WLP* have just signed a new deal with London independent label ‘Split Records’ and have been recording their new single 'Want You To Know' with producer Sean Genocky (Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Starsailor, The Futureheads)... The single is set for release on April 24th 2012 on digital download through I-Tunes and HMV digital etc. This will be followed by further singles and a new album later in the year.
